Do you accepting adolescents or young teenagers?
My expertise primarily lies in working with adults, especially those dealing with trauma. While I deeply respect the challenges teens face, I firmly believe they deserve specialized care. Adolescents often grapple with communication, trust, and emotional regulation. It’s essential for them to work with therapists who specialize in addressing their unique needs. Please know that this decision comes from a place of genuine care and commitment to their well-being of our teen community.
If we sign up for couples counseling, can we see the therapist for individual counseling as well?
In therapy, confidentiality is crucial. Clients must trust that their personal information won’t be disclosed without consent. When a therapist works with both an individual and a couple, boundaries can blur. For example, if an individual client shares something relevant to the couple’s therapy, handling that information delicately is essential. Additionally, having the same therapist for both individual and couples’ sessions may create a dual relationship, impacting objectivity and effectiveness. To maintain clarity and ethical practice, I generally avoid mixing individual and couples’ sessions for the same client.

How long does a therapy session last?
Sessions typically last around 60 minutes. I begin promptly, keep clients informed as we approach the end of their session, and conclude within the hour. It’s an ethical responsibility to avoid exceeding the scheduled time when we’ve booked for 60 minutes. This practice demonstrates setting healthy boundaries, as taught by therapists
How often will we meet?
When it comes to therapy frequency, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Weekly sessions are often considered standard practice for individual therapy. They provide consistency, facilitate ongoing progress, and allow for a strong therapeutic relationship. Many evidence-based protocols recommend weekly sessions, especially during the first three months of treatment for anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and personality disorders. Initially, clients might attend therapy more frequently to address immediate concerns and establish rapport. For instance, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) may be recommended twice weekly at the start. As therapy progresses and goals are met, the frequency can be adjusted. Some clients find that bi-weekly or monthly sessions work well for them. Remember, the ideal frequency depends on your unique needs and circumstances. It’s essential to discuss this with your therapist and find what works best for you.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
We aim to offer services to clients without physical limitations or constraints. By providing virtual services, we ensure that clients receive the care they need with the greatest amount of convenience. As a result of this philosophy, we do not provide in-person services to our clients
Do you accept insurance?
At the moment, our practice accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, CIGNA, CIGNA EAP, and Aetna. We continuously add more carriers on a monthly basis. Before scheduling your first appointment, we recommend confirming whether your requested provider is in-network. Additionally, we offer out-of-network benefits and superbills.

When a provider or facility is considered out-of-network, it means they haven’t signed a contract with an insurance company or have terminated their existing contract. Out-of-network providers do not agree to your insurance plan’s terms, agreements, or rates, and they provide services at their own private pay rates. Clients can submit a superbill to their insurance plan for reimbursement or to count towards their out-of-network benefits.

A superbill is an itemized list of services provided to a client. It includes practice information, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, referring doctors, and more. If you plan to submit this document to your insurance panel for reimbursement, please inform us so that we can provide a diagnosis. Clients are responsible for submitting the superbill directly to their insurance company.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, we do not provide prescriptions for medications.
What are your hours of operation?
We offer evening or weekend counseling sessions to accommodate clients who work during regular business hours. We are exclusively a virtual counseling operation. This means no fighting traffic, dealing with parking, or uncomfortable offices visits. What about the stigma of therapy?
Therapy isn't a sign of weakness; it's an act of self-care and in some circles a luxury. Learning coping skills, emotional regulation, and self-awareness are essential aspects of therapy. It's about empowering yourself to lead a healthier life. The mythological stigma surrounding therapy often stems from misconceptions. Some believe that seeking help implies weakness, but in reality, it takes strength to face your challenges head-on. Therapy provides tools to navigate life's complexities. Remember, attending therapy doesn't mean you owe anyone an explanation. It's about prioritizing your well-being and taking control of your mental health. Everyone faces struggles, and seeking professional support is a positive step toward growth and healing.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step toward self-improvement and well-being. Therapy is confidential. Therapists adhere to strict privacy guidelines, ensuring that your personal information remains secure. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations safeguard your privacy during therapy sessions. Therapists maintain professional boundaries to avoid dual relationships. They won't engage in social settings or accept friend requests to protect your confidentiality and maintain objectivity.
